Ìpàdé meeting and event space is located in the heart of Washington, DC, in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood.

Ìpàdé is DC’s premiere meeting and event space designed by and for Black women and people of color that is open to all for events and venue rentals.

The venue is flexible and can accommodate a variety of needs, from corporate meetings and mixers to retreats to photography and video production.

Elizabeth Dawes Gay is the founder and CEO of Ìpàdé, a Black woman-owned coworking space, event space, and meeting place for Black women, femmes, and gender-expansive people of color. The name Ìpàdé is Yoruba for “meeting”. Dawes Gay’s mission is to create a world where women of color can be productive, build power, and exist free from racially-driven micro and macroaggression. Ìpàdé also offers business coaching, including one-on-one advice, thought partnerships, and clarity and direction.
