Lachelle “Chelles” Cunningham is Owner and Head Chef at Chelles’ Kitchen, LLC a private chef and catering service that specializes in made-from-scratch soul fusion and comfort foods and also offers delivery and “brown bag” menus as well as cooking instruction.
The business operates out of Kitchen in the Market, a shared commercial kitchen space within the Midtown Global Market Exchange in South Minneapolis. In early 2014, Chelles is preparing to graduate with a degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institutes International Minnesota where she also works part-time as a Culinary Storeroom Clerk. She recently began working as a cooking instructor for Roosevelt High School’s Adult Enrichment Community Education Program. She is a mother of 2 young boys and loves trying new things, especially foods, and enjoys outdoor activities like camping, swimming and boating.
In her free time, she volunteers for various local organizations like Cooking Matters, a program administered by the University of Minnesota Extension Services that offers nutrition, food and cooking education to low income individuals and families.
