In 2015, Roaming Rooster pulled onto the D.C. food truck scene with a unique offering: a chicken sandwich made with free-range chicken! Michael Habtemariam, Biniyam Habtemariam, and Hareg Mesfin founded their business with the goal of providing customers with quality comfort food that they could feel good about eating. The popularity of the truck has continued to grow, and what started as one food truck has increased to three, alongside multiple locations including Woodridge, U-Street, Western Market, and Tenleytown.
